At my request, the IIT Contrails project, which is creating online PDFs of
U.S. Air Force R&D Documents, has just been kind enough to scan in this report: "X-20A Full-Pressure Suit Quantitative Performance," Report Number AMRL TDR 64-36. It was written by J. D. Bowen of the Aerospace Medical Research Lab at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. If you're curious about the suit intended for Dyna-Soar, see http://www.gl.iit.edu/wadc/DigitalCollection/1964/AMRLTDR64-036.pdf for the report. For more information on Contrails, visit http://www.gl.iit.edu/wadc/. There's all kinds of interesting stuff there. -- Bill Higgins | "In the year 2028 the Cubs will go all the way | and will be winning the 7th game of the World Series Fermilab | in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, 2 strikes, | no balls when a mile-wide asteroid hits Wrigley Field. My original prediction (up until 2004) was that it would be a Sox-Cubs WS, 7th game, bottom of the 9th, tie score, full count... and the Universe would end since there would be no way to resolve that paradox. But alas (err, fortunately) that is no longer an issue. The world is safe for now.
