I was someone could tone down these Cat. 5 storms and push some of the rain
this way. Middle Tennessee has extreme drought, only .5 inches of rain since June. If global warming is the cause, this area is in for BIG problems. |

Since 90 percent of all rain falls on oceans and seas, a lot of rain on land is the unusual thing, drought or low precip numbers are common. I just experienced the warmest and driest spell of weather in many years, for this location the longest on record. It had zero effect for me, except staying in out of the heat. I think it was 99 yesterday, by the end of next week, I expect a low in the 40s F. It has affected the man that mows, I haven't had the lawn mowed for 5 weeks. |

(see below) And? The hot dry weather is not going to continue, rain is coming, don't worry about water shortages. Anybody with any sense at all can take a plastic funnel and a hose and make a temporary urinal by pushing the hose about two feet down the commode, and use the funnel and a pint of water will flush it, instead of flushing the commode. After the first use (flush), there will be water in the curve of the hose to block sewer gases from entering the house. The cited data is for you to make your own judgments from, and it is up to you to decide what the data presented to you, is showing: Drought Tendency (national weather service climate prediction center) showing state wide drought in Tennessee, 30 years of annual amounts rainfall amounts averaged for Nashville Tennessee (climatological data ), measured against this years deficit in rainfall amounts for Nashville Tennessee (unusually low at the start of the year requiring an unusual event to bring amounts back to normal), correlated with the actual effects the drought, as documented by the Tennessee Valley Authority an entity responsible for providing "a reliable supply of water to cool power plants and meet municipal and industrial needs", and power generation for "about 8.7 million residents of the Tennessee Valley." Now I posted these sources which you cannot dispute, containing valid credible information that is recent, and up to date. In your un-verifiable personal anecdotes you counter argued with your rhetoric, then when you were presented with information you choose to avoid in your posts, you weakly claim it is something you already knew, nice try, but pretty much bs and you know it.
