My understanding ( I have bought a used book via amazon.com ) is that the books aren't Amazon's, they are sold via their site, from other sellers. So, Amazon can't offer free shipping on those, as they're not the ones paying for the shipping. And, individual sellers on amazon likely can't get mass use discount rates due to their sales and shipping volumes being orders of magnitude lower then amazon's. Andre -- " I'm a man...
