Hi,
I would like to track dim low earth satellites (1 degree per second) using a roughly polar-aligned LX200R. I will be using a video camera at low resolution, with a field of view about 0.2 degrees. Before I decide which version to use (8", 10" or 12"), does anyone have any comments? Can the larger telescopes accelerate well enough to keep up with the object, or should I use the smallest one? Satellite Tracker from Heavenscape looks OK. Should I try any other software, or will the built-in Meade software work well enough? Thanks in advance, Don |
