No launches or landings scheduled would be a fitting tribuite. Have all the
employees surveyed yearly for safety issues too.


This idea has already caused enough trouble. STS-51L
could have launched on Jan 27, 1986, but NASA didn't
make an attempt. The official reason was that launch
crews were exhausted from the multiple postponed
launch attempts that had taken place in the preceeding
days. I think there was another reason. Jan 27 was
the-then 19th anniversary of the "Apollo 1" fire.

After days of bad weather, Jan 27 dawned bright and
sunny, with clear skies and warm temperatures. A cold
front arrived before the following morning....
