I just wondered being a brit viewing the strange goings on in the last few
weeks with government non essential shut down occuring, what did they do on
the ISS, did they all down tools while it was on?

nasa.gov indicate they stayed busy. The US astronauts, and much of the
staff of the MCC, would have been listed as "exempt", and not
furloughed.
