On Google Earth's April 2008 imagery it's a circular empty area about

2.0 miles to its south, joined by a road.
Is the idea to fly the spacecraft from one pad to the other?

Just found their vehicle assembly building, which is located at 31 deg
23' 49".85 N, 104 deg 44' 49".66 W. - 3.83 miles south of the pad in
the NOTAM.
