I owned 3 SCT's (8' Meade f/6, 8" Celestron f/10, C-11) in the past, sold them all!
But I still have my 4" Celestron/Vixen FL APO from the 80's.

The scope was like an Ultima with digital setting circles. The telescope was really nothing compared to the LX200 from Meade that really set the bar for systems capable of indicating, finding (and Goto)objects.

He's saying the Ultima 2000 optical quality was above all SCT's back than!
