Default Off topic: Problem with Google Groups password security?

I've not. They may have a keylogger installed on your machine, or a
packet sniffer watching traffic from your IP (much more difficult).
Or, you just forget to log out of your account on a machine, after
each session. And they walk up and mess with you.

*I only use this account to post to Usenet so I'm not
too terribly concerned about that aspect of it. But it
is curious that when I was selecting my password the
indicator to show the degree of security of the
passward listed it as "strong", which I presume means
hard to crack.

Doesn't help if you don't remember to log out of your GG account with
each session

* Are there automated programs out there used just
to crack passwords on Google Groups? What would
be the purpose of those password programs?

I can imagine lots of other ways that don't require a cracker.
