....Not quite. During the Apollo missions, the crew had to toss in an
antiseptic capsule, seal the bag, and knead the poop in with the
antiseptic. According to one Astronaut, about 10% of the time required
to go through the whole process involved this one particular step
because one of the mission planners was told by one of the quacks that
kneading the antiseptic *that* thourough was very vital to prevent any
sort of septic issues that could arise should a bag break.

....On a side note, the mission plans said to break the capsule
*before* throwing it in the FCU, but from what I've been able to
gather starting with Apollo 8 the crew began breaking them in the bags
instead to keep from getting the antiseptic on their fingers.
