There is no clear physical definition of "planet" (as distinct from
"asteroid").

So the question is, in a sense, meaningless. It's like trying to
distinguish between a river and a creek. Pluto is either an abnormally
small planet or an abnormally large asteroid!

None of the physical properties of Pluto are in dispute.
