NASA ANNOUNCES NEXT SHUTTLE RETURN-TO-FLIGHT BRIEFING

NASA Space Shuttle Program officials will brief the media about
return-to-flight issues beginning at 2 p.m. EST, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at NASA's
Johnson Space Center, Houston.

The briefing will be broadcast live on NASA Television with
question-and-answer capability for reporters at participating NASA centers.
The briefing will focus on Return-to-Flight Shuttle processing, testing,
training and response to recommendations of the Columbia Accident
Investigation Board.

Briefing participants:

§ Bill Parsons, Space Shuttle Program Manager § N. Wayne Hale, Deputy Space
Shuttle Program Manager § Col. James Halsell, NASA Return-to-Flight Planning
Team Lead

NASA Television is available on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-Band, located at 85
degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is
vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz. For information about NASA TV
