If they had; he would have supported Georgia - Ma and Pa would have made
sure of that.

"Exposed to Red Kryptonite, Krypto becomes 'Krypto-Communist'!"
(Thought balloon over Krypto's head: "Lies, Injustice, and the
Anti-American way, comrades! Arise, you woofers of the world - you have
nothing to lose except your collars!")
I could actually see DC publishing that during the Red Scare of the 1950s.
Title could be: "Superboy's best friend? Or Superboy's WORST ENEMY?"
The scene of Krypto humping Streaky the Supercat and brainwashing Lana
Lang will be classics.
And of course scratching writing in the dirt in front of Lex Luthor:
"C...L...A...R...K...K...E...N...T...I...S...S...U ...P..." but then of
course, the effects wear off and Krypto finishes:
"P...O...S...E...D...T...O...B...E...A...R...E...A ...L...W...I...M...P...,
R...I...G...H...T...,...C...U...E...B...A...L...L. ..?"
This puzzles young Lex Luthor, particularly that "cueball" part... but
then Krypto farts at him, and ignites the superfart with his heat
vision... burning all the hair off of Luthor's head.
The rest is history. :-)
