I'm sure most of you will be out an about at events today, but I'm at home
right now. The sun is being naughty and hiding behind clouds right now, but
it looks quite clear, and will get so later. I may miss ContactII, but
hopefully I'll have a good view of the rest of the transit.

Anyone else observing from home? Got any good views yet?

I missed first contact but had lovely clear skies for the ingress. Lots
of pictures already - one would be one more than I got for Mercury!
The sun is currently behind a patch of thin cloud which hampers pictures
so I'm inside catching up on news and watching the live feed from
Leicester University http://www.star.le.ac.uk/venus/
Lovely close-up!
I think alt.binaries.pictures.astro is in for a good day!
