Default Hawaiian Telescope Team Makes Debut Discovery

The Keck Interferometer observations revealed a gap of 18
million miles between DG Tau and its orbiting dust disc.

Does anyone know of an estimate of the distance to DG Tauri? Simbad
turns up only three synonyms for DG Tau, and in the catalogs in
question parallaxes were not measured. I'm trying to understand how
they measured the size of the gap between the star and its
accompanying disc of dust.
