With the rise of celestial sphere software then so have descriptions of the Solstice event followed suit. It is a planet with a zero degree inclination and a pivoting circle of illumination off the Equator -

When a website run by a space agency does these things then places like sci.astro.amateur become important, after all, what level of intelligence would ask the question - "When does the line between day and night become vertical?"

When such things flourish it comes back on the individual to ask - is it worth destroying astronomy for the sake of a rotating carousel view ?
