Default sky watch in the desert?

Hi,

I am planning to go on holiday in Egypt in the end of May (Sinai/red
sea). I was wondering if it's worth taking my small telescope (ETX60)
with me. I have no doubt that the sky is going to be beautifully
cloudless and clear, but what about heat/convection? Giving that the day
time temperature is going to be around 35c, I'm worried that the at
night there's is far too much air movement?
I see that there should be a nice comet display then (NEAT C/2001 Q4)
and Jupiter/saturn/venus should be nice to watch.

Any experiences?

Thanks

Philippe
