I can't see anything getting done until so many satellites are getting
trashed that the cost of doing nothing is seen as higher than the cost
of doing something.

Which might mean nothing ever is done. This is the commons all over
again. A cow or sheep for every blade of grass until
the commons can't support a cow or a satellite.


Certainly for individuals it's probably cheaper to build and launch
armour plated satellites. Of course, when two of them collide.....
