The issue of ‘climate change’ where speculative predictions are presented as facts using computer modelling began with the modelling of planetary motions using accurate clocks in the late 17th century or the ‘clockwork solar system’ as it became known. This clockwork system is based on a rotating celestial sphere and looks like this -

You can describe the location of any celestial object such as the Sun, moon and planets pasted on to this spherical framework as they move relative to each other which is why it is so good for predicting the time and dates of astronomical events like transits, lunar/solar eclipses and so on. All current software programs such as Stellarium are based on this calendar based framework.

The problem is that it is totally useless for modelling the motions of the Earth as it tries to bypass cause and effect. The weekday is anchored in the return of the Sun to noon along with the day/night cycle as the planet turns daily but the Royal Society guys in the late 17th century tried to bypass the Sun and appeal to rotation of the stars around Polaris directly and eventually this has become RA/Dec. The ancestors of the flawed clockwork modelling are now wrecking havoc with planetary climate by rigging observations to suit their computer modelling agenda by conveniently morphing the success of short term weather modelling into ‘climate’.
