Then McCain knows even less about the Shuttle than he does about computers.
Not only would a Shuttle not have enough food or energy aboard to make
such a voyage even if you could get it up to the velocity needed to
reach Mars, but on arrival it would fall out of the sky like a rock in
the thin atmosphere. :-)
