"might" ignores the fact that the entire Apollo/Saturn program was to
beat the Soviets to the moon. Funding was cut when development of
Apollo/Saturn was winding down, which was well *before* the first
landing even took place. I see zero evidence funding would have
continued at the level of the early to mid '60s even if "LBJ hadnt
screwed up the vietnam war."
