The phone company (the real Bell) funded that. Much of the unmanned
program is about lofting communication sattelites which has nothing to
do with going to moon or military applications. It is the only aspect of
our space program that makes any economic sense.

NASA is a piece of **** corrupt organization. The only bright folks left
are the ones doing exploratory unmanned stuff. Manned space development
by organizations like NASA is ka ka.
