The availability of imaging makes this one of the most exciting times in astronomical history.

I looked at the SOHO imaging to see who uses it and even those who are sci-fi 'alien' addicts can at least appreciate the faster Venus running a smaller circuit behind the Sun until it is lost behind its glare and transitions to the left (evening appearance) -

Of course this part is easy, however, these formal institutions refuse to accept the transition of the stars from left to right of the central Sun due to the orbital motion of the Earth thereby providing a complete picture for the direct/retrogrades of the inner planets.

People are generally good about these things so who am I to criticise that people who also believe in aliens can also make sense of something people in this newsgroup cannot. The only saving grace will be the complete narrative where the orbital motion of the Earth inclusive of the faster motions of Venus and Mercury are explained.
