Anyways, one thing that is interesting is the difference between the Saturn V
launch vehicle computer and the AGC (CM, LEM), as they differed in just about
every way possible, from technology (discrete vs. microcircuit) to
architecture (serial addition vs. parallel) to ... {snip too much stuff to
write this morning}. There were thoughts of trying to use the same computer
everywhere but that didn't fly.


Does any of that explain why the S-V guidance computer worked just fine
when the Apollo computer had been knocked sideways by lighting on Apollo
12?
