So you agree with McCall that following emergency capsule jettison, the
stacks than be put back and launched in less than a day ?


The hardware would likely be fine, but NASA would insist on a "stand
down" to investigate the issue. That could take months. But the
hardware would be just fine.

When jettisoning from launch pad, is there guidannce to bring capsule
down in salt water? or just blind "up, deploy parachutes and land
wherever" ?


Google it. SpaceX did a launch abort test (from the ground) years ago.
Where did the capsule go and why?
