the most part. And primitive by most reasonable definitions. And if
you use the Old Testament as evidence (as Gerald chooses to do), they
were brutal nearly beyond imagination. That's not to say that people
from all cultures 3000 years ago were brutal, of course. But those who
invented the tales of the OT were.
