Planetary nebulae and comets are named for their discoverers. Most everything else just get catalog entries. Even planetary nebulas comets also get catalog entries as there are otherwise dozens of comet PanStar for example. Only exception is when some astronomer actually makes a major discovery involving the galaxy. Then it may also get named for them such as Barnard's Galaxy or Katheryn's Wheel. They, of course, also have catalog entries.
So this one will just go into various catalogs of galaxies. Such entries normally are just an abbreviation of the catalog name plus its coordinates either in RA/dec or galactic coordinates. Not original but makes them easy to find when the name is also their "address".
