There was actually an occultation of Venus early this week which was visible
from the UK. I was in work at the time of the disappearance but went out at
around 17:15 UT to catch Venus emerging from behind the Moon's bright limb.
The sight of the Moon, Venus and Jupiter together close to the horizon was
very pleasing indeed, but it was unfortunate that my employer doesn't allow
cameras on the premises!
