Default Will quantum entaglement allow faster than light communicationsacross vast distances?

You can do the following experiment, Brad:

You will need a photon generator and a photon detector separated by a
measurable distance. You can use a flashlight to generate the photons
either by an incandescent or LED and you can use your eyes as a
detector.

When you switch on the light photon source, you will detect those
photons with your eyes. Switch off the photon source and the eyes
will no linger detect the photons from the source. This is direct
evidence that the photons detected by the eyes came from the photon
generator.

A more sophisticate apparatus could use light of a specific wavelength
such as a handheld laser.
