What would be REALLY interesting is to see a copy of this presentation...

Yeah, you'd probably start cringing around slide three:

SEVERITY OF PROBLEM

* No previous losses associated with foam.
* Foam shedding occurs on all missions.
* CRATER program predicts non-lethal damage.
* We can always blame the writers of CRATER program.

EVA OPTION:

* Astronauts may damage TPS by spacewalk.
* EVA not in mission schedule.
* If crew sees fatal damage they may say bad things about NASA
before they die.

AGENCY IMAGE:

* Arabs may claim damage was caused by Allah's anger over Israeli
astronaut.
* Israelis may claim damage caused by Arab extremists.
* Admitting damage will have news media all over our ass again.

ENGINEER'S OPINIONS:

* "Private" Emails running 3 to 1 that some of crew may survive.
* These Email's content can be modified if necessary.
* Big Louie can deal with squealers.

OPTIONS:

* If astronauts don't look at it, damage may go away.
* Space exploration requires bravery, and this gives our astronauts
a chance to prove their bravery.
* We can always blame it all on Linda Hamm, and chase her little
feminazi ass out of here. ;-)
