Default A view of the tides in 1666

However deficient the author was in terms of conjecture ,it is pleasing to see so many components on the table that can be reworked to create different narratives using contemporary imaging and data. Instead of building on an adventurous endeavor the whole thing got railroaded into a backward agenda that lacked any background notion of electromagnetism .

The author rightly points out that his contemporaries did not have an explanation for the variations in length of the natural noon cycle, although this cycle includes the appearance of the Sun followed by the stars, many people are distracted by the asymmetry between daylight and darkness when the variations involved are global and irrespective of hemispheres.

The tides are an incredible point of entry into the background conditions for planetary and solar system motion as they are most sensitive to the motions of the Earth in cyclical form . Supplemented by things such as the daily and polar day/night cycle, this unexplored research territory is waiting for those who have the courage and the wits to set aside the voodoo that has a stranglehold on astronomy even if it is now losing its grip.

This is an unmoderated forum with all its advantages and disadvantages including creepy singular attention that must be endured even with some discomfort.
