There are many annual star parties all around the world. Your best bet is
to find one or more in your area and visit them first.
If you want to establish a new one in whatever area you are, just set it up,
announce the location and date and people that are interested will come.
You can get free listings of your event in Sky and telescope and Astronomy
magazines.

Hi all,
An informal poll,
For those of you who participate in sidewalk sessions at public places,
who also enjoys also looking at DSO's from dark sites?
Would you be interested in an annual star party, only for astronomers
(amateur and/or professional) and their families, where events in the
afternoons are about sidewalk sessions, and the nights are for DSO's
under a 7.2 LM sky? Location to be detailed later, if there is enough
interest.
Thanks.
