You keep making this out to be harder than it is.


Translation: no one has the programs to retrieve the raw Mars photographs
but Malin.


Because no one else has bothered to write programs to translate the
data format, and point giant radio antennas at Mars to receive the
signal from the probe, because the people with the intelligence to
write a program from the spec of the data format know, unlike you,
that it is a waste of time, and NASA really isn't editing out Tharks
on thoats from the Spirit and Opportunity pictures.
