Does anyone know of a book or web site that lists the approximate value

for

various astro equipment? I have tried searching Astromart for prices

based

on past sales, but it is tedious. I decided to sell all of my astro
equipment because my interests have moved on and I almost never set up the
telescope anymore. Seems pointless to hang on to all of it when I'm not
using it and am not likely to in the future.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you want to get the most out of your equipment, I'd strongly consider
Ebay instead of Astromart (although the latter is free). Ebay generally
will bring higher values whereas on Astromart you'll get a lot of folks who
say they're interested and you never hear from them again. Not knocking
them (Astromart) as it's a great resource, but that's the way most people
seem to operate there.

I've had success selling on both, AM or Ebay. But ebay has a larger
exposure to buyers world wide than AM. Also, on ebay one can protect
it's investment by setting a reserve price, also bidding is binding,
pricing is more flexible.
Although AM has auction style selling, but ebay has millions people
watching it any time vs. AM may have only 1000.
