It can happen that some people are driven by convictions while having different or no standards hence they see little purpose in doing something productive or creative.

Rather than ask the question - "What causes the Seasons ?", the higher standard is what causes the Sun to set at the South Pole presently as a single annual event on the Equinox while its Northern counterpart sees the Sun rise once and only once this year.

As the Sun comes into view once each 24 hours as a function of daily rotation then by simple logic the same is applied to the annual Equinox event but from a distinct rotational cause, in this case the entire surface of the planet turns once to the Sun over the course of an orbit and turns parallel to the orbital plane.
