This is from STS-115 and has audio. It is from SRB-sep to splash-down. At
around 2:33, you can see the launch trail "curly-q". Also, in the last
few seconds, you catch the second SRB hitting the water.

Isn't that the nosecap hitting the water (not the second SRB)?
My mistake--you're right... the speed of the impact and narrow viewing
angle made me think it was a long-item hitting (being up too late
probably didn't help).
