One issue that arises is the on-orbit lifetime of the Soyuz. It can't
stay up there for too long before it exceeds its certification. I don't
know how close they are to that....
I've heard the limit is 200 days, which would be April 30 for Soyuz
TMA-13. The Russians probably have an earlier cut-off to allow for
emergencies.
