I commend you for taking a stand for American
Indians, Brad. *In defense of the above, we were
only "crack"ing a few jokes about Chief Bobby, and
in no way was anything meant to be offensive to an
entire people.

Native Americans were put through hell by what Bob
has jokingly referred to as "euro-land thieves". *But i
assure you that it wasn't me, personally, who did all
that, nor do i think oc, as much of an "old coot" as he
is, was alive long ago enough to be held bigotedly
responsible for the acts of our ancestors.

American Indians fought long and hard, they are and
were admirable warriors, to save their lands. *They
were simply outnumbered, not outfought. *Whenever
i read any texts about what they went through, i am
truly filled with awe and inspiration by the experiences
of Native Americans.

Not only outnumbered, but whenever possible we hardly ever fought a
fair fight, and as of today many of our native Indians are treated as
though 3rd class or worse. To a great extent, we've made Ponzi Madoff
look like a good guy compared to how we've screwed so many of our
native population.

Instead of a "no child left behind" policy, it was more like turning
your kids over to the Taliban, or worse giving them over to GW Bush.
For over a century our native Indians had been treated worse than any
slave, including being left to starve and die, and there was little if
any effort as to learn from their native expertise. Now it's too late
to reverse what our actions and subsequent cultivated ignorance
created.

The creating of 9/11 was just the tip of our badly melting iceberg.
At best we'll need to restart nearly from scratch, and hope to hell
other nations do not unnecessarily take advantage if us while we're
down.
