Why not change the name and primary focus of this topic to:
"Mainstream Damage Control" ?

I guess that's about as on-topic you and others of your silly kind is
ever going to allow.

You obviously don't want to discuss space elevators, because you'll
have to allow whatever I might have to share.

Brad, Brad, Brad Guth you sourpuss! Aren't you forgetting
that this is...
U S E N E T !

...and UseNet is just like "home". When you go there, they
*have* to let you in.

Hitler would certainly have loved this Usenet. *Just think of all the
free thinking and honestly caring individuals that could have been so
easily rounded up. *Imagine the kind of infowar tactics of publishing
the kinds of disinformation that Hitler would have used this Usenet/
newsgroups (aka Google Groups) for accommodating his global domination
advantage.

btw, *was it the 490 GPa of easily created black diamond fiber that's
blowing the fuse on this original "Space Elevator is it possible?"
topic?

Actually, i think it was the Dr. Leonard "Bones"
McCoyesque ". . . not to have my atoms scattered
back and forth across space by this gadget," type
of beamed-up disgust at the whole idea.

So i think i'll wait for the "gadget", the transporter.
Of course, i expect it'll be a long wait. *Quantum
mechanics just ain't up to it, yet. *g

You don't have to wait, as the quantum moving of electrons from one
atom to another over a good distance is a done deal.

I vote we try to teletransport the likes of GW Bush and Dick Cheney to
Mars ASAP, followed by his Ponzi approved SEC.
