Default *General* Gration ... ??

After eight years of Bush watching, I'm now an intense Obama watcher,
and I realize how much I *don't* know about who he is, who the backroom
people are that he speaks for, what their objectives are. And I see two
things that trouble me now:

1) Rick Warren. Obama says, the purpose is to "reach out." *What*?
Reach out to the worst people this country is willing to accept?
Halfway or worse to the KuKluxKlan and etc? Anti-science, faith-based?
To say
they are aggressive, understates reality. So what is Obama up to? Does
he bring in Warren as an act to confirm his unannounced allegiance with
these people?

2) General Gration, who will replace Griffin. I didn't agree with all
Griffin did and I've severely asked, what for? This long slow program
that is a bad bet to survive Presidential cycles? Yet Griffin had a
strong background to understand what he was doing. Dr. Griffin, and
apparently a few times over.

As vs General Gration, fighter pilot who certainly has unannounced
affiliations or we wouldn't be hearing is name today.

Is space about to become the property in fee simple of the military? I
expect to find out over the next year or so, and I'm worried about what
this means for the basic purpose of space: building space settlements.
