The big boss spoke, and said that for security reasons the
mission to service the scope was cutted, obviously, he said,
not for budgetary reasons.

The problem is that getting to the scope up there (several
hundred Km) is too dangerous for NASA 2004.

Imagine. The people that say they will build a supply line
of 300.000 Km are unable to fix the scope 300 Km away.

The argumentation runs with general safety
measures, that would imply that NASA is unable to
service the scope, as has been done several times previously.

Only flights to the ISS will be scheduled.

There is no business to be done with a scope anyway.

The instrument is shut down, the team disbanded,
and great savings are done.

A telescope implies wanting vision: vision of space as
never was seen before. The first scope beyond the
atmosphere brought the news of the universe as it is,
with that 100% clear vision of those fields and fields of
galaxies, like a fantastic carpet.

No need for that, said the boss. There are other,
more important expenses.

Because they have vision, the big boss and all others above
him. They are going to the moon, yes. In the meantime,
they shut down everything.

NASA fleet is falling into pieces. No new replacements are
even planned. The spaceships are grounded, and, I agree,
in safety.

Nobody risks anything by staying safely in the ground.
