The Jews, for example, really deserve a much better god than the one
they chose. You couldn't ask for a more hopeless example if you tried.
The Muslims have managed to paint themselves into a stone age time
corner where nothing can change, ever. They are so used to vicious
dictatorships the fundamentalists now worship them and deny democracy
a chance. The Russians have lumbered themselves with a god who allowed
a string of Tzars followed by communism. The blacks sing their hearts
out to a god which allowed centuries of slavery and made their
tormentors the wealthiest nations on the Earth. Only the RC church's
money god seems to have worked well despite earlier mistakes like
using their power to force obedience to the most corrupt group of
individuals on the planet. Now their own afterlife insurance salesmen
have soiled their own beds at the same time as a recession. Couldn't
happen to a nicer bunch of pyramid salesmen. Who's next to queue for a
god which freely provides earthquakes, storms, desertification,
flooding, starvation, torture, pestilence, injustice, holocausts,
genocide ....?
