Default public liability insuarance

ISTR the FAS offer something suitable to member astrosocs at a fair
price. It is a good idea these days to have public liability - you never
know when you might get sued by slippers and trippers on a no win no fee
ticket. It is mentioned on their health & safety page at 3.1 :

Village fetes and shows with big tents are a particularly fruitful zone
for them now that shopping centres intercept the known ones.

Cactus society has some interesting problems with people have been known
to try and sue after becoming attached to obviously viciously barbed
plants that were out of reach behind ropes and labelled "DO NOT TOUCH"!

Our club (http://www.ashfordastro.org.uk/website/) needs to sort some out
before we can get grants from local councils to run star oparties for the
public.

Good luck with your open nights.
