Default tracking hubble

Hi. A group of us are building a sattelite tracking gizmo for a radio
amateur project and someone in the group. (Me) suggested it would arouse
interest if it we could use it to track hubble. We've got the downlink
frequency of hubble but we don't know what the doppler shift is or what
format theinformation downloaded from hubble would come in. Can anyone fill
in these gaps?

You can't receive from Hubble directly -- it does not transmit to Earth, but uses
the TDRSS satellites to relay its signals. If you want to listen in to Hubble's
data-stream, you'll have to get it from TDRSS.
