I've just been watching a tape of the classic NFBC documentary
"Universe" (utterly marvellous, even though it's about 40 years old and
monochrome) and it prompted a question.
Do astronomers still believe that Beta Lyrae is surrounded by the
"pinwheel" of hydrogen which artists such as Chesley Bonestell have
painted?
