What If (On life in a Galaxy)

What if intelligent life can be found only in spiral galaxies like our
Milky Way? What if it can only be created in the arms? Nearer and
nearer the core conditions get worse for life. We prove the conditions
are right where we are. I have a gut feeling I'm right about this. I
could bring in good science to prove my point should anyone challenge
this idea Bert
More stinkin thinkin IMO. If we've learned anything about our
universe, it's that the basic building blocks for life are ubiquitous,
even throughout our own solar system (e.g. we're finding ice
and/or possibly liquid water on many moons, etc). We look
out at other stars and see the exact same things: hydrogen and
oxygen and carbon and nitrogen.
By now the claim that Earth is somehow rare is beyond absurd.
Our planet is one tiny fish in a vast ocean of life.
As for galaxy types, life would have a hard time near the core
of any galaxy, regardless of type, I think it's self-evident most
galaxies have life zones, same as solar systems.
