M71 Globular Cluster in Sagitta
Jerry et al,
Thanks for the kind words. It is somewhat ironic that this wonderful
cluster is quite a bit overlooked. It is stunning and worthy of lots
more attention.

Dear group,
One globular cluster which is quite overlooked is M71 in Sagitta.
Although at one time there existed some dispute amongst the astronomy
community as to whether this cluster was an open cluster or not, it is
now established that M71 is a loose globular cluster.
Aside from being an impressive cluster by its own right, it also lies
in a rich area of the sky. For an image based on 2 hours total
exposure, I kindly direct you tohttp://www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-6838.htm
... please remember to left-mouse click on the hyperlinked image so as
to see the same image but with much better analysis.
Clear skies.
Anthony.
