I found from the article below that professor Danin identified figures
of three types of plants in the Shroud of Turin


- chrysanthemum flowers,


thorns of Gundelia tournefortii and


leaves of Zygophyllum dumosum.

shroud,
to the king of Edessa (part of Turkey), where it supposedly

cured him of leprosy.

Turkey didn't even exist back in 30 AD. Neither is Edessa part of modern
Turkey.

Clueless author needs to get his facts right.
