Starflight is hard to beat, though "Earth II" took a shot at it, and the
preposterous premises of "Plymouth" and "Capricorn One" earn them a place in
the space doody pile.


...."Earth II" wasn't *that* bad - and I'm assuming you're referring to
the Gary Lockwood pilot that aired on NBC back in '71 or thereabouts.
The ratings on it weren't bad either, but NBC passed on a series over
costs on special effects and Lockwood's wanting more money for a
regular series.
