Anyone have an planetary pics taken with one?

I'm most interested in using it as a planetary camera and a guide
camera if it has the ability to take time exposures of 1 sec or so.
I'm looking for an upgrade to my ToUcam, but can't afford the $1k
Lumenera cams.

Hi Michael:

What little I've gleaned about the new camera doesn't make it look
promising. A browse through the postings on it on the Yahoogroup
dedicated to it indicate that it's badly, BADLY lacking in
sensitivity.

If you want a guidecamera, look at the original DSI (available pretty
cheaply on Astromart), or maybe one of the new Q-Guide cameras (http://
www.ccd-labs.com/Qseries/qguide.htm). If you're wanting an inexpensive
planetary/Lunar camera, try the Neximage or Toucam. I'd leave this one
alone.
